There was a bad batch that went crunchy when washed on a 60 degree cycle.
If you have bought it new, contact the seller and they should replace it.
Crunchy ones still work fine though.

a couple of mine started feeling 'crunchy'; (you mean the inserts right?) when we went on holiday i took advantage of hte tumbel dryer and gave thema few 'blasts' after soaking and a few machine rinses. they seem fine now
but it is a good excuse to ge ta few new colours
