norethisterone to bring on af?? actually delays af?

Hello I went to the fertility specialist for my first appointment. He prescribed me norethisterone to bring on my period. However, after reading the leaflet inside and online it's purpose if to delay a period (for holidays etc). Now I'm worried and confused. Anyone else had it?

Yes, I took this to stop a period after I had been bleeding for 3 or 4 weeks so that does sound a little odd to me

Hmm how strange! I have to take it for two weeks then he said af should come. Even the label said don't take if pregnant or want to get pregnant?! Ah so confused

Ive also taken it years ago to stop a long period.I would see your doctor again.My GP is against giving me anything that says you shouldnt have during TTC,even creams!
