I know this is probably now irrelevant but I just got a letter from gynae saying I had an ovulatory level of progesterone of 58.4. This seems really high to me.

The last time I had it done I turned out to be pregnant (but m/cd) and was told it was high, but I know that I wasn't pregnant the cycle this test was done (even had an u/s that cycle which showed no preg and tests were neg.)

I've looked into the normal range but everything seems to indicate 20 being the upper side of normal.

in the US anything over 10 is good and over 15 when on a medicated cycle, in the uk anything over 30 shows ov and higher than this on a medicated cycle, not sure exactly
i think between 30 and 100 is usually normal, but i suppose the higher the better, mine was 28.3 the month i concieved but lost it very early. i was 6dpo when i had it done so not sure what it would have been 7dpo.

by the way, congratulations hun :happydance:

There are different units of measurement between the US and the UK.

In the UK anything over 30 indicates ovulation. 58 is a normal healthy progesterone level for post-ovulation. What that the cycle when you fell pg?

Thanks for reassuring me. I was never told the exact level previously. In a new area and they actually specified the progesterone but not the LH, FSH and prolactin (just said they were normal). I was a bit puzzled as to why they detailed the progesterone. I could have told the consultant that I ov each month but I think she was just double checking everything.
