Since i had Oliver i havent felt to good. Havent really fancied eating much. feel sicky had a bit of an upset tummy (tmi)
So i went to the doctors and the did a blood test and it shows i am anemic... which i knew because i was anemic before and i lost blood lol.
But today i have phoned them because i woke up and started being sick. I havent got a temp but i feel hot and then go cold. I noticed my bleeding has got a bit heavier as well and i have tummy cramps (which i have been told could be down to my upset tummy)
I am really worried something is wrong... and no one seems to be listening!!

Oh and i dont have an infection but they have put me on cefalexin and metronidazole just to make sure.

it is making me feel so down because like today its a lovely day and i have had to stay in bed while my OH has taken Oliver out for a walk

its possible you have retained some placenta hun, that will explain alot including the cramps, temp , increase in bleeding ring the hospital where you had him and ask someone on the ward for help, or call your midwife

if your feeling that bad dont let it rest get some answers hun x

Is there another doctor at the practice you could see?

Are you on iron tablets? When I took them I was sick and it played havoc with digestion. I tried another brand, but it was the same. In the end I bought Spatone from Boots, which is totally natural water with iron in it, and it worked a treat. My midwife and GP said it was fine as a substitute.

I would keep hassling, you know your body.

Good luck x

p.s you could still have infection that started after the blood sample was taken x

they have said to keep an eye on the bleeding this afternoon and if its still heavy to phone back... but as i dont have a temp its nothing.

but as my bleeding had stopped and now its heavy again surely its a concern?

Hassle the doctor or if you want another opinion have you got a local drop in centre?

Oh i forgot to say... they thought that when i gave birth to him as my placenta was so small but it was double checked.

But on my notes it said i had a antoic uterus? But they massaged it to stop the bleeding at delivery.

My bleeding was on and off heavily for about 8 weeks Hun. Sorry you're feeling so pants tho, I know there are some awful V&D bugs around at the min x

I agree with twinklestar, how do they know you dont have an infection? Could one have developed? I would go to the hospital or go back to the doctors and tell them how you feel. It doesn't sound right to me xxx

Forgot to say, my bleeding keeps stopping then starting quite bad they keep telling me i am doing too much and need to rest!

thats the thing... i have been resting all morning... and its got heavier!

If it is getting heavier with rest then i would, if it was me go to casualty and thell them your situation, i wouldn't leave it chick.

*Update*
Been to the doctors today and she thinks i might have "pelvic inflammatory disease" so she took a swab (lets just say my stitches have healed well) and she has asked me to drop in a urine sample.

She said the feeling sick is the anti biotics as i have had a reaction to penicillin. so she said as i have done 5 full days to come off them. and since i havent taken any today i feel alot better i have managed to eat something and not feel sick! Its weird!!
