Not going to post any pregnancy on FaceBook

I haven't made an announcement on Facebook and have told most of family face to face or on Skype. We may once baby is born announce and put a picture so family know she is here instead of us calling everyone as we are in nl and they are mostly in uk. So we have have a bit of privacy with baby before calling everyone x

Mainly for superstitious reasons I am not posting anything until the birth as I have a history of miscarriage, albeit in the first trimester however I'd prefer not to tempt fate as I am a little paranoid that way. I know of a few girls who posted an announcement, some with a scan photo, and then they sadly lost the baby so it would be horrible to have to put that on facebook if heaven forbid it happened.

I also have a couple of women on my page going through IVF, and one of whom has just had a hysterectomy after ttc for years and 10 mcs so I would feel a little uncomfortable posting a pregnancy announcement.

I had no intention of putting it on facebook whatsoever but around 24 weeks i put a status saying 'cant wait to meet our little boy in august' just because i kept running into aqaintences and found it awkward bringing it up face to face
