Im really really really not looking forward to Christmas this year. I was so excited as it is Austin's first Christmas but Luke has been told he is working over Christmas
The army suck :growlmad: . They know its his baby's first christmas but because he is leaving in June, they have decided to make his life hell for the rest of his time there.

I would go to him but its Germany and Austin doesnt have a passport.

((hugs)) totally with you on that - my DH was in Iraq the xmas before last - I was most definately not in the xmas spirit. Last year was his first crimbo off in about 5 years - so I know how you feel x sending some more ((hugs)) your way x

:hugs: thinking of you :(

I am sure you and Aust will have a fab time tho hun xxx

Having a dad that was in the Navy I know what its like for them to be away, he was away for 3 years in a row including my birthday which is in march. It sucked can you go to your parents or something?

Do you need a passport? it is the EU after all. maybe just get him a temporary one?

You'll need passport or ID card if Germany accepts them but will cost you £70 for passport or £50 for id card on the odd chance you live in Manchester

:hugs: Same here... DH and I are apart for Christmas this year, since he's taking the after-Christmas leave, and he's only stopping by for one day on the way to his own hometown when he's on leave. He's missing the birth of our first baby in January too, and won't meet her for the first time until at least April when his ship comes back to port. It's rough. :(
