I've been trying to concieve for 4 years in that time I have been told I have
- high prolactin (take brocromptine to regulate this)
- had a lay and dye in 2010
-6 rounds of clomid no success
-2 failed iui's this year
- found out I had polyps in my uterus during my 2nd iui so had hysteroscopyto remove them in july.

since my hysteroscopy I have been trying to concieve naturally for the last 3 months still not bfp. so I'm not sure whether if i should have another iui or move onto ivf. my oh supports me whatever I decide next we are not keen on ivf always hoped I wouldn't have to get to this stage.

Anyone else had similar experiences and what did you decide to do?

Hi!

I didn't want to read and run but I have not been in your situation so I can't offer any advice from my point of view.

However, I would suggest going with what you can afford to do. Do you feel like another IUI might work? If you don't, maybe you should go straight to IVF.

Good luck with your decision.

Thanks I have 1 free Iui left and my fertility specialist offers one IVF round on NHS. I feel like I should see what happens with another iui

If you have both options to do on the NHS then I would suggest doing the less invasive first.

Personally I wouldn't want to go through IVF if IUI might work.

Good luck.

what about other drugs for ovulation? like femera or metformin? would you be able to try those? did you ovulate on the clomid?

If there's a waitlist for IVF i'd get on it just to give yourself options. We've done the same. I have diminished reserve and have been trying for nearly 2 years now and my time is running out. We have the options of IUI and chlomid while we wait for IVF and we use softcups & supplements to help conceive naturally. I wish you luck with whichever path you choose!
