Not Too Optimistic

I'm officially in my 2ww but I'm not feeling very optimistic. We may have tried too early, and I also had to have a pelvic exam two days after the last try, so I wonder if that could screw things up. I'm pretty regular with 26 day cycles which would put ovulating Tuesday. We tried once Saturday morning, once Monday morning, and once Monday evening. Meant to try again Wednesday but that didn't work out- I had to have a pelvic exam that day instead :-/ (long story short, I have a small cyst that's acting up & causing me pain). I wonder if the lube from the exam would have killed off any of the sperm left, if I happened to ovulate late, or before they reached the egg. Sigh. I'm not too optimistic but this is the first month trying so I won't be too down about it.

The semen have hiding places where they sit and wait The ones that are waiting in your tubes cannot be reached by the lubricant used during your exam.

I know it is hard to relax, but try I am 2 or 3 dpo and I have quit reading the symptom spotting posts and just focused on trying to answer others questions and pass the time. Hope this helps.
