NT scan results so scared!!

After my NT ultrasound and bloodwork I was feeling pretty good, but then I got the call... She said 1/10,000 chance of chromosome issues but I had a slightly low papp a level. She acted like it was no big deal and said I have a 1/6 chance of having a small baby and that she views that as a low chance. After making the terrible choice to look up low papp a on google I'm am totally freaking out!! It says placenta problems, premature birth and stillbirth! I have bad anxiety anyways and now I feel like I'm completely losing it. I have a dr appointment in 2 days but I don't want to keep crying until then! I need encouragement!!

1/10000 chance is wonderful.....don't worry about that. Having a small baby isn't that either they are giving me ultrasounds every 4-6 weeks to monitor my baby girls growth cause one of my levels was higher than the rest (don't remember which one....grrrrr) but stay positive hun everything will be OK. Maybe you'll be able to see your baby more too

Hi hun I have a very low papp-a level of 0.24 - really it just means they will keep an eye on your babies growth and they might bit a bit smaller then most babies

your results are pretty great! dont worry hun . Please relax, I know its hard. I had a 1:15 chance of down syndrome and she actually had Edwards syndrome, It was a terrible long wait for answers but you results look fantastic!

Try not to worry, but I know the wait is terrible! Got 1:5 of DS and had to wait 3 weeks for an amnio and one more week for the results. Luckily the amnio was fine! I also had a low papp-a but also a big nuchal measurment. Here they don't give you any special treatment because of low papp-a so I just have to hope everything goes well. I don't get any more scans after 20w if everything looks fine.

1 in 10000 is an excellent number, mine was 1 in 5! talk about scary. I don't know much about the pappa, I will look into it. I should get my results for my blood work the 15th tho
