Anyone know? I read lots of reviews that say it is but the packaging says it's non spill - so how can it be free flow?

My LO takes water from a doidy. However she hates the smell of neocate so i'm looking to move her off bottles to something free flow but soft spout like a bottle.

Amazon reviews for the nuk learner seem contradictory.

I have one - it looks like this

https://www.nuk-usa.com/gerber/all-...e-developmental-cups-soft-silicone-spout.aspx

The spout is silicone so your LO has to suck it like a milk bottle teat but the form is that of a spout so they learn to form their mouths around a spout shape. It has a slit to let the liquid out.

Water won't come out unless they suck so they can tip it upside down and they won't get covered with liquid.

Thanks, is it easy to get milk out? My LO can only sip from a cup, she really struggles with the suck needed for supposed 'sippy' cups.
I was really hoping this would be free flow or have a removable valve at least.

Anyone else LO try this?

My LO is the roughly the same age as yours. She doesn't cope very well with the free flow cups as she has a tendancy to open her mouth wide and let everything run out or she chokes.

She doesn't seem to have any trouble sucking.

If you are worried about the flow you could try the stage 2 which is a harder spout

Thanks petite ping, my LO is used to drinking from a doidy cup so i think she needs free flow now as sucking just seems a backwards step maybe?
Only thing is she needs a soft spout as the hard spout just feels too alien v's bottles.
I'm looking for free flow but really soft sillicone spout.....which seems impossible!

I've hust tried drinking from her dr browns bottle and she has to suck that so i think a bit of sucking to get milk from the nuk should be fine!

I got mixed up with this too. Mine arrived and required a 'suck' but its much similar to teat sucking that hard spouts, which lo cant cope with yet. Its the first cup he's managed with. You can buy a free flow spout for it, which is also quite soft. Im going to try doidy, i ordered one this week

Thanks cupcaker, i'm in australia and i haven't seen frre flow spare spouts.
Good luck with the doidy, my LO took to it great just not for her prescription milk!
