Hi i am just wondering for those of you who use NUK do you use latex or silicone teats? I am wanting to use NUK bottles to feed expressed milk to LO and am thinking latex would be softer and feel like the breast?

We use silicone and our LO loves the NUK orthodontic nipples (in standard size), but doesn't like the wide bottle nipples much...

We used latex as they squashed well in his mouth and were a better flow when he was little. Silicone didn't flatten and were too fast for him at the start.

silicone i don't think they sell latex here for those ones we have latex gerber essentials though

I really can't decide whether to use silicone or latex. I have heard latex is popular with b/f babies so maybe i could try that 1st and see if he likes them

We found the latex got worn pretty quickly, we moved to silicone easily. I liked them better

I have brought the latex ones to use while i am breastfeeding and will see how they go. I'm not too worried if they get worn quickly as i will only be using them for one expressed feed a day and they aren't too expensive. I think if i was using Nuk teats for formula i would definately use silicone. Not so sure how the latex paci's will hold up but i guess we will see lol

I breastfeed and give ebm in Nuk bottles. I have used the wide base silicone nipples from the start and dd has taken to them like a champ.

We use the latex wide teats/bottles and LO loves them! (His dummies are also NUK latex....)

best wishes

I have ended up using NUK pacifiers in silicone and he likes those so am going to use the silicone wide neck teats when i give him expressed milk, so hopefully he will take those since they are the same shape as the paci
