nursery school and term time holidays!

Hi, this is the first time i've posted over here, as i usually hang around on the baby board, but here goes!

Jack is due to start nursery school in September, but i'm looking at booking our holibobs at the moment. I know you can't take them out of proper school without permission from the head teacher, but do the same rules apply for nursery school??

the nursery ended for the summer last week, so i can't ring and ask them directly, but i thought one of you lovely people may know

I think all school would tell you they have their own policies, but the letter of the law is that you can take your child out for up to ten days a school year. TBH though a childs attendance would have to by pretty abysmal before anybody mentioned anything.
I took my two out of nursery and Infants school this year for a hol, I just sent in a note with them to their respective teachers, informing (not asking ) them of the dates concerned.
