I'm planning on going to get fitted for a nursing bra sometime soon, but I was wondering..

1) I'm wearing a 34 C right now, but i feel that in a few weeks i might be popping out of it, and thats without considering how big theyre going to get when my milk comes in.
2) how do they know what size to give me now, if i don't know how big i'll be with the milk?

I went from 36dd pre preg (1st time) to 38f. Used same nursing bras with 2nd. Ive never been measured i just got a few sizes from catalogue an kept the comfy ones.

Look at the Bravado Bras. I've bought two as they do small, medium and large and each fit a variety of sizes so even if your boobs change slightly they will still fit. They are soooo comfortable, they are seamless and there's no harsh material, even under your boobs, and have a clip on each side for easy feeding. I've been measured for maternity bra's and non of them have been comfortable and I always end up having to take them off because they are digging in. The bravado one's have a site which show's you which size to go for. I'm generally a 34 D so went for the medium and its fine, and will also still be fine if my boobs get bigger. Id definately recommend them. x

I've never been sized, so havent a clue what size i actually am. I've always just brought bras by trying lots of different sizes on. right now, i'm wearing a primark bra, so i know for a fact i could be bigger or smaller than 34C  I just hate bra shopping and want it to be the least stressful as it can :haha:

It's really hard to say as your back size may well go down and cup size up.

What about those genie type bras to put you on? I've got a couple for my bag and will order the right size proper bras when I know what I am :flower:

Hiya,

I used to work for a large baby store and we would recommend getting measured for a nursing bra at around 37 weeks. According to your measurements at that time it is suggested that you buy a nursing bra one back size smaller, as your diaphram will go back in after birth, and one cup size larger ready for your milk to come in. Realistically its probably the best estimate you will get.

I was a 34 D pre-preg now I'm about a 36 DD and have been wearing large nursing bras as they're very comfortable and don't dig in to my skin. It's better to have some wiggle room in there than to have them fit perfectly bc odds are you'll grow out of them a lot quicker.

go to a decent undies shop, an independant one if poss

i went to mothercare measured a 44F, went to a shop a week later as my new bra's were driving me mad, and i'm a 40K, the lady sized me up and suggested what bra to go for and tried a few sizes to see how much growing room there was yet provide good support now

Was a HH cup before I started and am now wearing an L-cup and even that is too small - and I'm only 30 weeks! Goodness knows what I'll do when my milk comes in after Tiddler is born - think I might have to resort to a couple of tents strung together with an old tow rope the way things are going!

Paws that would not give much support lol!

Royce do a bigger sized range, I just hope u font get much bigger or I'm screwed, do they do a z cup?
