So last week my LO (then 7wo) was struggling with his reflux and in turn started nursing less. Friday (he weighted 5.6kg) we had his meds increased hoping that would help. We were unsure if he gained or not last week but he was up 48oz from his last visit. (48oz in 36days).
This past Monday he came down with a cold. He nursed for nearly two hours straight and since then he's hardly eaten at all. Only eating for 1-5 mins every 2-6 hrs. He is pulling off a ton, I'm guessing because he can't breathe well. I'm also guessing his stomach hurts from all the mucus. I took him back in yesterday and he's had no weight gain.
Dr says he has a virus and really didn't have ideas to help him feel better besides saline nose spray. We are using a humidifier as well.
This is the second week of poor eating I'm worried. Any ideas to help him? Today is the first day since Sunday he hasn't wanted to sleep all day (but still doesn't want to nurse).
