o/t does anybody know anything about paypal?

Just sold my first item on ebay, and the person who bought it has sent payment to my new paypal account, this is showing as pending and there is a message saying

'Payment holds on your eBay transactions. we are working with eBay to make buying and selling even safer. As part of payment holds for new eBay sellers , we'll hold the money from your eBay transactions for up to 21 days.'

Has anyone had this before? Is it ok for me to send him the coat?

I would wait til it says payment received and let the buyer know. Not sure why they are doing this now they have changed Ebay loads lately xx

I think it's because you are a new seller so your paypal won't be verified.

The 21 days hold is for new ebayers, send the coat recorded delivery and when your buyer receives the coat and leaves positive feedback your money will be released into your PayPal account.

they do this for new sellers doesnt matter if you had paypal and been buyer for years all new sellers get money held till they have seller feedback ratings of 10 i think it is

paypal hold the money till either buyer leaves feedback of 30 days have passed also when you have tracking number give it to paypal as that helps too

they normally only hold payments over a certain amount

there is no other way round it unless buyer wants to pay different way

all i did was made sure i sent message thanking for payment then another message with tracking number to buyer then once i saw it had arrived i sent message asking if everything ok then left them glowing feedback, you get some buyers that dont leave feedback but most do now expecially if you comminucate all way through

i know its kind of cheating but this happend to us last november and we were selling our old phones and oh's xbox and some other bits which would make high amounts and we didnt want payment hold so we sold 15 small 99p items just to get the ratings so our payments wernt held
