Ooops, didn't read the whole thread before I posted. I think you're making the right decision. Takes some books along and indulge yourself in a good read. I haven't read a single book since DD was born 2.5 years ago!
My baby was oblique breech - and the NP told me how to encourage him to move - and he did. She said to try a warm bath and place something very cold on the top of my belly - the baby willl move towards the warm water. you can also get on all fours and gently sway your hips back and forth - kind of like a dog wagging its tail and that may encourage him to turn the right way. My dr was going to do the EVC on my last visit but the baby turned thankfully. Now he's very head down and causing a lot of pain in my hips and butt but everything else is just fine. Good Luck to you!
Big congrats . Xx
Iv been following thread as my baby is oblique possition now at 34 weeks . Her head is in my hip tho so not breach oblique . Do the c section for that if babs don't move ?
Here's a picture of the grumpy little cheeky chops!
If his head is down by your hip I would have thought he would have a good chance of moving by himself as he doesn't need that much space to correct but I don't know whether he would need a csection or not I'm afraid. I really hope he doesn't but having just had one the recovery is not as bad as I'd expected. It was much better than after my laparotomy last year!
