hi everyone ive just been diagnosed with OC and i was wondering if anyone else has got this or has had it in early pregnancy?!?!? im 11 weeks and 5 days


please help!!

i got diagnosed with OC at around 28 weeks. I had to go to the perinatalogists once a week to be monitored starting at 32 weeks....and htey gave me this medication called ursodiol to control by bile acids. they ended up inducing me at 36 weeks 2 days. My LO was born 7 lbs 4 oz and was completely perfect!!!

There is a good thread about it either in the stickies at the top of Pregnancy Club or third trimester They took my bloods on Wednesday to test for it because I'd been itching on my arm.

I was tested for this, but it came back negative. There's a sticky thread in second tri forum with lots of info from people that had it.

Have a look at the stickies in the 2nd and 3rd trimester forums. They have loads of info and you can talk to other mums-to-be who are currently suffering ifrom it.

Do you mind me asking if you had OC with your first pregnancy? I had severe OC with Chloe diagnosed at 31 weeks and I am petrified of having again if we have another baby. Have they given you a plan of care?
