I thought as the September Mummies had their own thread - we should as well!

How is everyone and their little ones doing?

Tristan is doing well and is sitting up on his own now. He has two teeth and is adorable.

I am enjoying being a mum and watching my little one grow up, learning new things.

We are well too Paula :)

Hebe has 2 teeth, likes to roll around the room, enjoyed her first lot of swimming sessions and soon starts a 10 week underwater swimming course which I'm nervous and excited about. She sits quite well but still a bit wobbly is eating 2 weaned meals a day and weighs over 20lb now. :D

Well done Hebe! We are still on the waiting list for swimming classes - it has been three months since I put his name down!!! Maybe I should chase them up about it.

20lbs - wow! Well done Hebe, that's excellent. Tristan is just under 19lbs. He has gone from around the 98th percentile at birth (9 pounds and 12 ounces) to just over the 50th just now (approx 18 pounds and 12 ounces). I am not too worried as he chomps into his food with gusto and looks like he is putting on weight. I think he is going to be tall and slim built like his Daddy as at the last measurement, two weeks ago he was 71cm in length (91st percentile!).

Come on October girls - surely there are more of us that this! Ems, Alio - where are you?

Heyyy :hi: im an october mummy! Glad Tristan and Hebe are doing well.

Tye doesnt have any teeth yet! But sits up by himself and like Hebe rolls around the room  Got him weighed yesterday and he is 17lb exactly.

How are your LO's sleeping at night? Tye still wakes twice :dohh:

Hebe's been a good sleeper - we've been very lucky that she's not woken in the night since 3 weeks. They do say if they like to be awake a lot they are gonna be clever......I'm sooooo happy to have a dumb baby.....

Hi Octobers! Can you believe our babies are 7 months old this month!?!

Poppy is crackin' thanks. She has two teeth now (they were early - first one before she was five months!) and the top ones are coming slowly. She's rolling all over the shop and always getting herself wedged in strange places. Her fave at the moment is diagonally at the bottom of the cot. She is just sitting up but still a bit wobbly. Loving her food right now, especially finger foods and anything Daddy and I are eating! We have just started her on three meals a day.

She had her first holiday and first flight last week and we loved every minute. She was an angel on the plane too, which really surprised us!

We are currently having some major glitches with sleeping. She is back to waking three times a night (yawn!) but not getting too stressed about it as she has always been very changeable in all departments so hoping she will sort herself out soon...please Poppy?!

Glad to hear all your updates.

Tristan is now sleeping through now - from 7.30pm - 8.00am (usually). He is sitting up on his own and can roll from his front to his back and to his side. He doesn't really roll from his back to his front - it is as if he can't really be bothered. He has never really liked being on his tummy, so not as much motivation for it, I suppose. Every time we put him on his front, he flips over on to his back!

I like this thread. Good to heard what all the babies that are the same age are up too!

Well, Jack is a monster! In a big chunky way, although he has attitude already :hissy:

He has his two bottom front teeth, nearly sitting up on his own, eating 3 solid meals a day, nibbles on anything and everything we eat and has slept all night since he was 5 weeks

He is so content and happy (most of the time!!) and we really could wish for more, he causes us no stresses :)

Hes weighing in at a healthy 19lbs or so now aswell :happydance:

Im worried that Jack isnt sitting yet.... :(

We encorouge him as much as we can and hes nearly there but i thought he should be sitting on his own by now?

Mrs Cooper where are you? You should be on this thread as well as you were my due date buddy and gave birth the day after me!

Aw that is so funny about lieing diagonally in the cot! I find Jack in that position ALOT and he thinks its hilarious!

I wouldn't worry about Jack not sitting up yet - I think there is a great variation in ages when they do that. If you are worried, a good way of encouraging them to sit up is to get them something like a Bumbo which helps to support them and encourage them to be in that position. We also have the Early Learning Centre's 'Sit-me-up-cosy' which is good.

I know i just go into panic mode when i see a LO who is the same age as Jack and doing something he isnt.. We'r Nearly there tho...:happydance:

Are any October 08 mummys back work work or due back soon? Im back on the 1st June and dreading it :(

We have just moved from Aberdeen down to Edinburgh, so I am going to have to give up my teaching job in Aberdeen and look for a new one down here. I am not looking forward to it.

Thomas is doing well, no teeth through yet but sitting up and holds weight on his legs really well too. He loves his solids, but I just cannot get him to sleep properly, day or night (I posted a desprate plea for help on seperate thread). It is really mkaing things so hard, I love being a Mum and love him to bits but the sleep issue is really upsetting me at the moment.

Lisa just reminded me about this thread!

How are we all doing?

Well today, Tristan has yet another runny nose! It seems like babies get colds so much...and then we catch them as well! I hope he shrugs it off quickly.

Favourite toys of the moment - his Baby Einstein activity centre, he can whizz around quite easily now...oh, and Mummy's glasses. Every time I say, 'Mummy's glasses' he laughs and pulls them off my nose! I encouraged it heaps in the beginning because it was quite cute and funny - I wonder how long I will find it amusing!

Shall we get it moved to the groups so it can be the official thread ? :)

That would be great Lisa! Thanks! I was not sure how to do it.
