Today, I've been feeling some odd pains in my stomach, at two separate points - 1) when I cough, and 2) when I walk. The pain is slightly to my right side, lower stomach, and the pain comes when I put my right foot onto the floor and lift my left foot, so basically it's when my whole body weight is on my right leg.

I just tried to ring NHS Direct and was told that they were really busy and would only answer 'urgent calls'. Do you think this counts as urgent? I'm not bleeding, and there's no pain at any other time. It's probably just me having a wee worry, but I'd like to be sure.

It sounds VERY like round ligament pain which is totally normal. Its caused by ligaments stretching. U get it if u stand up from sitting and at other times, it can feel like a really sharp stabbing pain and hurts quite a bit. U can get it on each side but me personally its more one side. It can make u double over for a second or 2. I bet thats what uve got. Also ring mw 2morrow to put your mind at rest further x

Oh i forgot to say coughing or sneezing really cause it. I hold my bump at the ready and sit forward to sneeze x

It's the coughing more than anything - I've got a rotten cold atm, and I'm doing what you do re the holding the tummy in LOL

Thanks for that. I shall see if I'm a bit better tomorrow (day off work) and maybe pick up the phone then.

Your at the right time to get the ligament pains too. Sometimes aswel if u pull a muscle when your pg it can b very sore and its much easier to do. U could have even pulled a muscle when coughing. Dont worry x
