Why do they ask for things after you've done shopping for them????

My daughter is asking for an IPOD like my IPHONE. Pretty much the IPOD touch. :dohh: Nope, not going to happen.

But she's adding other things to her list now too.

Anyone else go through this? If so, what do you do?

thomas is only three, but i'd end up giving in and getting them some of the other bits they ask for

My parents made us write our lists to Santa by a certain day, and gave us a couple days to change our minds, and then told us something like the elves couldn't accept a new list after that LOL. I remember once my mom told me she would phone Santa and tell him I forgot something-and I got it, it was like SeaWorld Barbie or something :dohh:

just tell them,no sry not this yr,if there older just say uv already got ur xmas pressies bought,if there younger i wud say that there letter had already been sent of to santa x otherwise u cud go on 4eva xx

I'd say Santa has finished making the toys and yep you needed a certain date....ie when I go shopping

The list by a certain day is a good one, I'll remember that

If she doesn't believe in Santa, just tell her you've finished your shopping and you're sorry, but she can't have anything more.

not there yet but I like the idea of telling her Santa has a deadline

I may too, but will try not to. LOL

See the problem is that Amanda has made a list but it was already 1/2 way through my ordering for her....meaning, stuff was already ordered. Looking at her list, I know she did it quick and probably didn't think of the fact that she may not play with some of that stuff too often.

I know her. LOL

At the same time, I do think what I've got her is some stuff she never thought of but will enjoy a lot...like the karaoke machine. And, I have got her about 4-5 things off her list, now looking at it more closely. :)

Her bday was last month. :) However, I don't mind on her bday getting her one gift that is more expensive...like the IPOD she wants. For Christmas, I wouldn't want to buy it anyhow as then she really wouldn't have that much to open, if you know what I mean. Perhaps when she's 12 less gifts at Christmas would be ok, but not at 8 and when she sees Jayden open more and more and more.

Sophie-louise is 7 and she is doing the same thing, she wanted an I-pod touch so we got her one then she wanted a new bike so we got her one of those aswell, everytime she comes home from school she is saying Ohh mummy my friend is getting this or my friend is getting that can I get it :(, so now all I do is tell her that santa already has her letter and she can't add anything else :( lol xxx
