Talking to a non-BFing friend today and told her how Brenn will not move on to solids and was a total booby addict. She looked straight at me and said 'oh you have to stop BFing him, you have to cut him off.' I told her, 'no, we will just have to go with the flow, I don't think I will be driving down to the university campus to BF him in 18 years, he is just taking his time. He will eat solids when he is ready.'

I'm still breastfeeding Valerie 2 times a day. She is not addicted to it and doesn't depend on me for milk anymore, since she's eating solids like a little pig now (she's more attached to the comfort thing with nursing), but I don't see a problem with letting her still nurse twice a day. There is no reason why you shouldn't still nurse Bren and your friend should have realized that before she said what she said. I don't understand why people feel the need to impose their views on others. Ugh!

I use to get comments like that ALL the time because hayden was the same way, he hated solids for a really long time just preferred to nurse.
