Talking to a non-BFing friend today and told her how Brenn will not move on to solids and was a total booby addict. She looked straight at me and said 'oh you have to stop BFing him, you have to cut him off.' :dohh: I told her, 'no, we will just have to go with the flow, I don't think I will be driving down to the university campus to BF him in 18 years, he is just taking his time. He will eat solids when he is ready.'

i think as long as he's healthy and thriving then its ok. i wish i could of kept up breast feeding longer :( x

I'm still breastfeeding Valerie 2 times a day. She is not addicted to it and doesn't depend on me for milk anymore, since she's eating solids like a little pig now (she's more attached to the comfort thing with nursing), but I don't see a problem with letting her still nurse twice a day. There is no reason why you shouldn't still nurse Bren and your friend should have realized that before she said what she said. I don't understand why people feel the need to impose their views on others. Ugh!

I use to get comments like that ALL the time because hayden was the same way, he hated solids for a really long time just preferred to nurse.

My mil believes I should be cutting out feeds and introducing formula even though I have only just reached the 3 month mark!!!

:saywhat: What the hell's that all about?!! You're only just getting started!!!

There are too many people who think they know what's best for your children....:dohh:

So what if she does bite you? Gives you a chance to teach them respect, for the boobies!! :yipee:
