I was just going to say over my dead body...but...
NOT EVEN over my dead body is Adam geting custody of this little girl! I'll come back and haunt whatever judge gives her to him. I guess I am specifically denouncing him in my will.
Why can't he do something productive like go drop off the face of the earth?

I have a will and life insurance for my DD's care. (I was a single parent up till last year).
My daughter would get everything I have (stuff, auto, home, etc.) and I named my parents co-executors of my 'estate', so they make the final decisions on her behalf as to what to do with the stuff.
The insurance, I named DD1 as beneficiary, but stipulated in my will that any assets (the insurance policy when it was paid out) would be placed into a trust for her. 1/3 To her upon graduating HS, 1/3 upon gaining an bachelors or associates degree (or when she was 25), and final third at 35. Up to her graduating HS, my parents would pull whatever they saw fit to compensate for her raising.
You can name people you specifically leave out of the will so any contesting they might do is taken care of right away.
:: shrug :: I did it all myself, and just had it notarized with my 2 witnesses present to sign it. Pretty easy.

Very true, can't expect him to start now I guess. Maybe he'll move to Antartica with his new girlfriend lol
