Ok, am I or arent I?!

Just after some opinions!!

Basically first day of last period was 1st April. Usually a 34 day cycle and STILL havent had my period!!

Anyhoo have done about 5 tests and all negative - asda, clearblue etc.

This morning I went to the toilet about 4 times in a couple of hours (bit like cystitis without the burny pain) and though hmm I'll do another test.

Used a Superdrug one for the first time and for the first time ever got a line!! It was like the one in the leaflet (i havent got a pic folks sorry) but the fainter one. I was shaking like a leaf and took to OH who confirmed exactly like the leaflet and that it must be true.

Anyway I thought lets get a Clearblue one that says Pregnant or Not Pregnant in black and white so we drove to chemist did the test and says Not Pregnant!!

Please any ideas what is going on. Im really late. No sickness or sore boobs or anything but a few weeks back very achy lower back for a good week or two.

Have checked the Superdrug tests nearly two hours later and the line has faded loads - still a bit faint but you have to really look and nothing like when I first took the test.

What do you guys think?

If its the superdrug early one (pink cap) I got a strong line on this brand when other brands gave me such a faint line on the same day I doubted they were a line. Two days later tested with a digi and it said i was 2-3 weeks since conception.
Maybe wait a few days and try again?

just realised-that has been a hellof a wait. My last period was exact date as yours and am now 8 1/2 weeks according to the doctor. How strange. Have you just come of bcp?

Yes its the one with the pink cap!!

Do the tests normally get faint after a few hours of being fairly strong do you know?

not sure. I have kept my tests (bit gross I know) but can't remember if they looked stronger before or not!!

Lol yeah I have mine too even though they are all negative. Thats how I knew for sure the different was massive this time!!

If I have been preggers since April though that would make me 7 weeks so surely every test would show positive? Unless of course I missed a period and then got pregnant this cycle?

Am not really sure what I am talking about to be honest lol

I hope it works out for you mimime. I think this whole ttc and pregnancy thing are so stressful-all to prepare you for when the baby actually arrives and I imagine the stress levels increase again (and never go down!!!)

You might be right!!

I honestly never thought there was so much to think about. I thought I would just come off the pill and it would happen in a couple of months and I would start get morning sickness. How naive am I!! I'm 32 so you would think would have a clue but havent had much experience with babies or pregnancy!

The digi's need alot more hcg to register a positive. Maybe you didnt ovulate one month and now you are really early in your pregnancy??

Hi Minime - Hope you are BFP.

Is the test you used took from Superdrug a blue dye test? I had a similar thing happen with clear blue (saw a faint line) and it was what I am assuming to be an evaporation line, since I had a blood test done the day after and it was BFN.

I was 9 days late for AF. After 10 mins. you are supposed to take the results as they are - any changes after 10 mins. should be disregarded.

Can you take a blood test? It sucks waiting, but maybe test again in a few days and try to use a pink dye test. Hope you are BFP.

It's a crazy ride, trying to get pregnant. Good luck to you and hope all goes well, keep us posted.
