Ok... I'm going for AMH test

So I made the appointment today to get my AMH test... it is for August 3rd. I was lucky to get one that soon as my doctor is well loved.

I'm kinda getting nervous now... I know that this number is good to know...but I'm terrified to know it at the same time. I wouldn't be so scared but my mom went into menopause before she even hit 40. So Im totally terrified of this number.

I know some of y'all have had this test and if you don't mind sharing... please tell me your age and AMH result?? (like did they just give you the number or tell you ur approximate menopausal age too...that seems like a scary thing to hear) and if you're already pregnant but took the test before what was your numbers??

I keep looking at all these charts with 5th percentile...50th and 95th. While I understand what it means as far as a comparison to others your age...I think hearing it from a person is better for me...easier to relate to than a percentile.

I'm 42 and my AMH is 3.89. Not that it's helped me conceive. I had 2 mmc last year and no pregnancies since. My friend's AMH was 1. She got preg with her first IUI and Bravelle cycle after 4 years of trying which included multiple cancelled IVF cycles because she had no follicles. Don't let your number stress you out. Anything is possible. Good luck to you!!

I am 37 and tested amh about 6-9 months ago and it was about 40 pmo/l which is about 5.6 ng/ml so an optimal and very good result. But look at me, not conceived yet!

Have a friend who had a very low AMH and doctor said no eggs left and she conceived naturally.

Think AMH is only one of many tests so don't be too worried about it.

This it can vary a lot in the family as well ( you said you mother hit menopause early ). My sister who is younger than me has a lower AMH than I have so think it can vary a lot.

I ve had three amh tests (uk scale)
Age 35 - 0.51
Age 35 ( 2 months later and the same month that i concieved my son) - 3.1
Age 39 - 2.0 (had concieved 6mn prior but mc).

So as others said dont get too hung up on numbers and good luck !
