omg we have just sat and worked out our budget and we are under what we originaly thought! we startedoff last year with a budget of 13000 and we managed to get it down to 5000 but now we have just seen that we are only at 3 n half thosuand:happydance: just have to pay it all off most expensive is the videograoher and photographer
just shows that it can be done on a small budget we have a church small village hall and 67 people including us well its prob around 4000 as my parents are paying for food and drinks but thats it:happydance::happydance:

Ours is 5K too!!

Why not lose the videographer? We are having a family member doing ours, I think it may be a bit more personal and a hell of a lot cheaper!

Our budget is £2000 and we have managed it and get married in just over 5 wks :) very proud of ourselves for managing a church wedding on that amount but im exhausted with the shopping around and preps!! lol. Just cnt wait for our big day now x

We managed really well too...we havent done all the sums but we came in under £4000 I think.

Although we spent a bit more than we had planned at the last minute due to suddenly thinking maybe we should get gifts for parents etc LOL.

The biggest money savers for us were...

Wedding dress in sale
Making own invites (pdacardandcraft.co.uk thankyou!)
Making own table decs (IKEA & ebay)
Marks and Spenser cake (£63 and we came home with loads!)
Not having loads of bridesmaids in matching dresses
All the groomsmen wearing their own suits - we just bought them matching ties

We were lucky enough to have flowers as a wedding gift - although we didn't want much and Ma offered to make the favours - candies in organza bags.
