... and now that I see it all written down in black and white - I'm scared.

I'm due to start down regulating (Suprefact Injections) on CD21 - which the clinic have me down for 28th October. I'll have to check if this is still the case, as my period stopped for a day and a half and then started again. I continue with these injections until 23rd November. On 12 November I have a scan booked to make sure all is quiet on the hormone front, and if all is going to plan then I start taking my stimulating drugs (Gonal-F) for the next 12 days. I have a second scan booked for 19th November and a final one on 22nd November. At the final scan, the consultant will confirm that date and time of egg collection.

Oh my god!! I'm now quite scared, and a bit emotional now.

 honey, I'm sure feeling scared/apprehensive is totally normal, but I'm sure it will all go ok
hold your dream in your head and all the physical discomfort and stress will seems worth it ... thinking of you :hugs:

Its understandable to be scared hunni - but I am so glad that things are moving along for you - and its brilliant that things are happening before xmas.

I really really hope that thing's go well for you.

I'm so pleased that things are happening now for you. It's a rough old ride but you'll make it. I hope you get the best Christmas present you could possibly ask for :hugs:

Let us know how things are going.

Oh honey! How exciting for you :hugs: You're going to do just fine

I'm still feeling quite emotional about it this morning but I now have my distraction technique sorted - I'm telling DH we have to paint the utility room and get the living room decorated before we start our first course of injections. I don't think that's too much to try and do in just under 3 weeks.

x

Morning hun - fab news :hugs:

Spot of decorating is always a good distraction. I think you should leave that to DH and go shoe shopping - stroke a few over priced handbags in a dept store.... sort of thing i do!! ha ha ha

That is really great news - if you weren't a bit daunted and emotional i think there would be something wrong. What a great way to end 2008 - wooooooooooo hoooooooooooo!! xx

fantastic hun xx , your wait may nearly be over!

Hey great news!! I've done it twice so i know how you feel...Good luck with your journey xx

Thats fab news hun and its so exciting good luck for a BFP xxx

Can I ask how did you get referred for IVF, by your GP or is it private? My GP is useless. Took so many appointments and blood tests and didn't even tell me if they were alright or not. I still don't know if the reaosn is because I have a cyst or not? No one told me! The sanogropher just said 'ooh theres a little cyst, but your GP will discuss it with you' my foot they did! I'm so upset today.

I went through my GP. She did the initial day 21 bloods and my DH got his SA. We were then referred to a fertility specialist. After we had out initial investigations done, we were diagnosed with unexplained subfertility and referred to the only hospital in NI that has NHS funding for IVF. As the waiting list is over a year for treatment, we decided to go private. So hopefully, £4000 later we'll get our :bfp:

Waiting for doctors sucks, but unfortunately, even to go private, you need a referral from your GP, so your best bet is get all the tests done on the NHS, and then if you want to go private, pay for the treatment. No point paying for tests if you don't have to.

Good luck

Are you down regging as well? Reason I ask, is my friend is going for ICSI but due to her AMH results she doesn't need to down regulate. She has a shorter drug protocol which really only has her stimming. Are you going for private treatment?
