OMG my baby fell off the bed!

He's 6 and half months, and last night I turned around for a second and he wriggled off the bed. Can't believe it as I thought he was safe (a king size bed in the middle of it!) He cried for a minute or so and wanted cuddles but seemed fine afterwards. Doesn't appear to be too phased by it today, at all actually but am I naive to just let it be or do you think he's hurt?

if he cried straight away thats a good sign. I'm sure he's fine and this happens to everyone so don't feel bad!

The exact thing happend to me a couple of weeks ago and my ds bust his lip i felt awfull. But these things happen all the time and im sure there going to have much worse.

he will be fine, most likely the shock made him cry than actually being hurt (babies come well padded with fat!) don't feel bad, it was an accident and things will happen with kids as they are unpredeictable. My 6 month old moves about a lot now so if I leave him on the bed I put lots of pillow around him hehe, or on the floor on a mat instead with some toys nearby to occupy him

I think it has happened to most people at least once! My ds did it around 6 months too and was fine. I think it was more the shock that made him cry but he didn't learn from it and still tries to crawl in to thin air at every opportunity! Bit of a nightmare in the middle of the night as he tries to crawl over me, over dad and off the other side! I always grab him in time though which annoys him.

Dont beat yourself up hun,like the girls have said,most of us have done it. My lo fell off the settee on to hard wood! he was fine but i was upset for days thinking would i know if he was truly hurt? but he is absolutly fine x

dont worry hun, not your fault and it will happen alot more, little injuries i mean.

Millies fell off the bed twice, sofa once..the other day she bumped her head crying 3 times in the space of 10 mins

Mine fell off the bed twice when we were on holiday. Twice! I still don't know how the second happened, she was surrounded by pillows. Don't worry about it!
