Hi girls!
Im on my first cycle of clomid. I got my progesterone level checked on CD23. My doc said it was 1 and that I didnt ovulate. She said to take 100mg of clomid after AF comes. Has anyone O'd after CD23??? Anyone ever need to get progesterone shots and if so what were your levels when your doc decided to start giving you the shots?? Any information or advice anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone!

Hi

The same thing happened to me too, I had CD21 bloods done on the 23rd December which showed I didnt OV and have to increase Clomid to 100g whenever my next AF arrives.

I have never heard of Progesterone shots, do you have them in conjunction with Clomid?

I havent started the shots yet. However, my doc is going to recheck my blood after AF arrives (cd21-24) and then determine whether I need progesterone supplements. So what CD are you on now? Do you know what your level was? Looks like we are in the same boat!

I was told those EXACT words. I was told that I didn't ovulate. That I had virtually no progesterone. I was to wait until AF came to start Clomid. I picked up the prescription and waited, waited, and waited. POAS - pregnant. She is now four. I am only saying this because don't quit trying!!! You could ovulate, or maybe you did! You never know. Now things are a bit more difficult for me, but, you just never know, that's all.

PS...I still have no progesterone, and I am on Clomid and Prometrium (third round).

Wow! Well thank you for sharing that! I was really upset and totally bummed out when I heared my results. So there is still hope! We will def keep on BD every other day like the doc said then!! I wont give up just yet. How long did you wait to test? I havent yet tested..I didnt want to see that :bfn: yet again! Do you take the progesterone by mouth, vaginally or by shots? Im not too familiar with the progesterone supplements. Good Luck to you this time!! I hope we both get our :bfp:

I take Prometrium (type of progesterone) after ovulation, orally. I also take Clomid.

Oh yeah....I was at least a week late for AF, perhaps even later before I POAS. I really don't remember because I was told that there was NO CHANCE. I just stopped keeping track, ya know. I felt really bummed too, LOL...to put it lightly.

Wow that was fast!!
So how long was your cycle then? Do you knw when you o'd? I havent been using the OPK's. Just thought we could wing it this month. I havent noticed the ewcm, so I was worried that the clomid might have affected my cm. Thinking ob taking robitussin this cycle coming up if AF decide to come.

Oh ok....well you have totally given me hope!! Thanks so much!! I really appreciate it and cant wait to tell DH that we should keep trying this month. We should have BD on the 9th but didnt. OOPS! Well we will see what happens!

Did your DR give you a plan??? Right now, I am to take Clomid CD3-7. BD on CD8-16. I take the Prometrium CD 18- AF or until end of first trimester. I am also taking baby asprin - everyday. I ovulate on Clomid between days 14-16, which still seems late to me. AF on Clomid comes CD28 (last time anyway), without Clomid, CD22-25. So, the Clomid has legthened my cycle - which is good for me, because I have a luteal phase defect without Clomid, from the lack of progesterone. I use OPK's sometimes, but, on the Clomid...it is pretty painful for me, so I think I have narrowed it down. I ran out of OPK's so I don't know for sure, dang it!

So I started my first round of clomid on 12/18/08....CD5-9. BD every other day from cd9-23. My progesterone level, was checked on CD23. Today (1/10) is CD 28, no AF as of yet.

The plan now is to wait till AF comes then take Clomid days 5-9 again but this time 100mg instead of 50mg. (If AF doesnt come by 1/15/08 then Im to take provera to bring AF on.) Once AF comes then I have to get my prog level checked again sometime around CD21-24. DH has to have his SA done in the meantime. My guess is that if my level is low again, then I will be started on some type of prog supplementation. On clomid for 4 more cycles if AF arrives. So so far thats all I know??

Sounds like a great plan. It feels like forever though doesn't it?

Def feels like forever. Im wondering if I o'd today because I have been having on and off sharp pains/weird cramp like pain only on my left side and my CM seems to be thinning some. So maybe I am going to O??? I didnt test tho. Crossing my fingers and hoping for a story like yours!

Thank you so much! I appreciate all of your help and encouragement! Def. made me feel a lot better about things!!:hugs:
