On the edge of my seat for my poor friend!

My friend is about 12 weeks and her doc told her she had a missed miscarriage based on only hcg levels! Her doc refused to do an ultrasound. So, she goes to a different doc who orders hcg tests again. Don't levels start dropping around 12 weeks? I can't remember, its been months since my tests as I'm 30 weeks now.
I just can't believe a dr dianosed her without an ultrasound! The drs in my town are just laughable. This is why my dr is out of my town!
