Hi all,
I need help. My lo has always had problems feeding he's had what we though was colic, now reflux and has always had little and often.
Over Christmas I was weaning him (on advice from gp and hv) and he was doing great and also having 6oz bottles sometimes even 8oz in the evening and sleeping through the night. However since he was ill (tummy bug and cold) a couple of weeks ago he's only having 3oz at a time and not wanting any food. Which means he's wanting to be fed every hour during the day (which is fine but such hard work especially if we want to go out anywhere). He's still better at night, he has 6oz before bed (so I know he's capable of it!) but he does seem to be waking with wind (bottom end!) particularly last night it was every couple of hours. I have tried switching formulas, have even been down the lactose intolerance route. Am I not winding enough during the day?
How long after an illness can it take for a baby's appetite to return? Is this the problem?
I just want him to enjoy his milk and I feel he'll be more content if he's having more less often.
