I ate some custard from a carton yesterday, with a sponge pudding. My tummy feels a bit dodgy, though it has been feeling like that for a few days. I thought custard would be fine but it seems it's on a lot of the don't eat lists..does anybody know if it's ok and if not what can I do about it?
Bit annoyed with self as been so cautious with everything.

oh god i hope is okay because i have been eating it without thinking

dont worry ladies:D If its from a carton then its been pasturised and its perfectly safe. Its more the home made custards you gotta watch out for cos the the eggs arent cooked all the way through...I been eating custard a lot..it helps with my heartburn:D

You'll be fine. I'm sure if it's cartoned it would be pasturised egg, and anyway, when it's heated through you can eat practically anything you like.

It does get ridiculous all the things you can't do I'm just waiting for them to tell us that we can't have bread then there really will be trouble.

My MIL is always commenting on what do you mean you cant have this or you cant have that..how do you find things to eat?? I have to assure her that that is certainly not a prob for me:rofl:

Mine keeps trying to give me a glass of wine with dinner lol lol

My mother on the other hand is disgusted by it all and harps on about how her generation were force fed liver products and told to have a bottle of stout/guiness for their iron levels. She even refuses to get any decaff tea or coffee in for me, as in her words 'don't be bloody ludicrous'.

Yes, safe. I'll pick some up later!

Every time someone mentions food like this I develop a new craving lol
