So far we are team yellow but will be finding out the gender in a couple of weeks.
We currently have a daughter called Quinn so are looking for something just as unusual or uncommon.
Name ideas so far:

Girls:
Aurora (number one choice)
Harper (chosen before the Beckham trend)
Mila
Ramona
Peyton
Juno
Romilly

Boys:
Brody
Fabian
Cohen
Sawyer
Rupert
Wren

Which do you prefer or think goes well with Quinn? :)

For a girl I really like Mila and Juno, Juno was on our list for a girl but dh says no :(

For a boy I like Wren, Cohen and Fabian :flower:

I think they all go with Quinn.

Aurora is beautiful! I like Ramona too.

I like Fabian and Cohen for boys.

From your girls list my faves are Harper and Peyton, and for a boy I LOVE Brody, its one of my favourite names

Girls:
Aurora - 9/10 - love it but there is a well know porn star called this
Harper - 0/10 - hate it, trendy celebrataunt name
Mila - 5/10 - pretty and feminine looking but maybe mispronounced
Ramona - 3/10 - not very feminine imho
Peyton - 5/10 - quite like this one
Juno - 0/10 - dont like not girly at all
Romilly - 1/10 - never heard before, sounds odd to me

Boys:
Brody - 6/10 - modern but not silly
Fabian - 5/10 - interesting
Cohen -1/10 - I would avoid due to it being offensive
Sawyer - 4/10 - ok, not my taste though
Rupert - 3/10 - like the bear?
Wren - 2/10 - I know a girl with this name so feel like a girls name to me

Peyton & Quinn - both sound like strong independent names not girly but not masculine

Brody & Quinn sound modern
or
Fabian & Quinn sound interesting and mystic

I like Peyton and Mila I think they both go well with quinn. I find Aurora a really mouthful to say and it always reminds me of the word Areola :/ from your boys the only one I like is Brody x

How is Cohen offensive? :/

its a highly religious name and offensive to the religion if used by outsiders

if you Google it there is lots of things about it

Koen is pronounced the same but not offensive as its the spelling that is objected too

Found this -

Here's a good article by NB's Pam:

https://www.thedailybeast.com/article...ng-battle.html

Two key quotes:

“A Cohen is a Jewish priest and a religious name, so… it would pretty much be like a non-Christian person naming their child Jesus, a non-Muslim person naming their child Mohammed, or a non-Catholic person wearing a rosary as jewelry simply because it looks cool,” one poster wrote. “If you're not Jewish, please be aware that many Jewish people may be understandably offended by a non-Jewish Cohen.

Cohen [is] the most common Jewish surname in the United States. But the problem is it’s not just any Jewish surname. Call your sons Greenblatt or Rosenberg, the objectors say. But the name Cohen is reserved for the priestly caste descended directly from the biblical Aaron. Cohens are accorded certain privileges in the Jewish religion and are subject to certain restrictions: They’re not allowed to marry a widow, a divorcee, or a non-Jew, for instance, which has kept the Cohen bloodline exceptionally pure.

My nephew is called Cohen and I love it! Think it is a great name!

Hmm makes some sense I suppose, but I don't see it as a problem.

Harper is a great name and used way before the Beckhams (Harper Lee anyone?!). I also like Brody.

I don't think Cohen is a problem really...

Aurora - love it, very pretty.
Harper - not a fan because the prime minister of canada is Stephen Harper and he's normally known as just 'Harper.' But that probably doesn't matter where you live.
Mila - cute
Ramona -pretty
Peyton - not a fan
Juno - not a fan; reminds me of pregnant 16 year olds
Romilly - never heard this one before, its alright.

Boys:
I like all of your boy's names. Good luck on the decision and congrats :flower:

all the people saying it doesn't matter that the name is offensive... say a lot about you as a person but your not the one that has to live your whole life with a name deemed offensive to one of the biggest religions in history

in some countries using a name with good reason to en-site offensive is punishable by forced name change and even loss of custody of the child - its literally no different to naming your child Hitler

why do that when you could just slightly alter the spelling and avoid all the problems? seems pretty selfish really for something that holds no meaning - you could just go with:

Coen
Koen
Cohan
Kohan
Choen
Khoen
etc... (all pronounced almost identical)

only Cohen and Kohen are offensive so why use those spellings

I like Harper and Mila, and Brody and Fabian ( know a very attractive guy called this which is probably why I like it so much!)

Well for the fact that out of everyone I've spoken to about it, no one else have even mentioned the fact that its offensive. Unless I lived in an area highly populated with Jewish people, I don't see anyone pulling me up on it.
And yes, Coen is on the list as an alternative spelling but not because the other is offensive.

I appreciate your opinion but there's no need to get so worked up about it.
