HI Ladies

I have been using the clear blue digital ovulation kit for a while with no success :( This past month I started charting. My tempeture was at 97.2 the whole time and I finally got my happy face on Tuesday and my temputure on Wednesday morning was 98.6. Does this mean that I had already O? am I ovulating quick? Bascially did I only have that one day to get pregnant? I am not sure how both the kit and charting work, can anyone please fill me in?

Thank you and happy new year to all :)

after ovulation your temp will be high. If you'll have 2 more high temps after Wednesday then Tuesday will be your ovulation's day.

I'm charting and using OPK too...I rely more on my chart than the OPK, since the latter doesn't give you a lot of heads up to plan. I've been charting for about 10 months now and I've been able to pinpoint my ovulation to days 12-13. So hubby and I are aiming to BD on cycle days 8, 10, 12, 14 (or 9, 11, 13, 15--whichever works with our schedule). I've just used the OPK to confirm my charting information.

Same here. I keep an eye on my temps. When they start going down, I use the OPK to back it up. Then when I get + OPK, I start the :sex: as much as hubby will agree to, which isn't much here lately.

Momof5wants1 I always tried to bd so much and when FI had enough I would think we missed our chance. I got my happy face on that Tuesday and we bd that night and only that night as we were up in NJ at my sisters house for the holidays and it was hard to be after! I told myself no way, we missed it! Well, I got my BFP last week!!! So no matter how much you bd, it's possible!!!

from your mouth to God's ear hun. I've been trying again since I had a m/c in April with no luck.

They say the best time to get pregnant is actually before ovulation like 2 to 3 days before. Sperm stays in the body for up to 5 days so you can get pregnant up to five days before ovulation. The day of ovulation you can get pregnant also. I got pregnant 3 days before I ovulated. I also use the smiley OPK and I ovulated on Sunday and we DTD on Friday. I was not planning on trying just yet but if I am I will be over the moon with happiness.
Good Luck :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

I know it's so hard after a mc, I had one in June. I was about to go to a fertility specialist on feb 2nd! I am nervous and hopes this one is a healthy pregancy. I am trying to stay positive!

You should too, it's hard but try!! It will happen :) sending you lots of baby dust!!!!

Congrats NutsforBaby! That's great news. I'll cross fingers and toes and everything else that all goes well for you. Just keep believing and push negative thoughts to the kerb!

I recently been working with an ovulation kit and am a bit confused. It seems I had an LH Surge this Friday but just felt the ovulation pain this morning at 3am, it is Tuesday, so that is 5 days after the surge. Does anyone else notice this delay in egg dropping way after the surge?

It's all very curious!
all the best,

-I am also confused. Currently on CD18. I have me using OPK and temps but this is only my first month, so i have no pattern yet. I was on BC for about 6 months and an IUD for 8 year prior. I always had a pretty regular 28 day cycle so i was figuring on 14 day Ov. Well I didnt have +OPK until days 16-17 & 18 (17 & 18 were very dark-16 was same color). I think i felt Ov pain yesterday but i am not sure if that is what it was. this am was the highest my temp has been 97.79 so i am wondering if did Ov. yesterday. :dohh: How long will OPK stay +? We have been :sex: every other day since the 7th and are worn out-lol but is is so hard not to feel like you missed your chance. You can click on my chart if you want thanks!
:dust: to all!

Hi Bonnie,
I did the OV kit this month and last month and the LH Surge for me lasted about two days.
I am also charting my temperature, although this is my first month. It was interesting to see my temps go down during before LH surge and then after surge my temps keep rising.

It started to think that a monthly cycle of temperature charting is like a metaphor for the seasons. During your period, it is like autumn - you shed your lining, just like a tree sheds its leaves, then just before the LH surges the temps go down so then it is like the winter - time to huddle close to your partner ;-). Then as temps rise, it is like Spring and then comes the egg! (happy easter!) and then if we are lucky they keep rising for those 18 days and then it's Summer and all the fruits grow and ripen.....and then time for harvesting!

Your chart looks good - could be that you may have it happen for you this month. I'm certainly hoping the same thing for us over here!
