well im day 21 today ov should be occuring, no positive on the sticks but i have had pains and lower cramps.

just makes me wonder are the sticks that reliable?

Hi hun,
Ive always found them reliable, I do use extra sensitive ones though.
Is there any hint of a line on the test?

They can turn positive even when you DON'T ovulate so I'd assume the opposite could also be true.

yes the line is there just not getting darker, its my second month off clomid waiting for iui to start but last month i was 39 days and im hoping i dont have to wait that long again!

Your symptoms sound like possible ovulation. Are you are testing once a day? It is possible that your surge was only a short time and you missed it.

yeh im testing in the morning, ive always used FMU which i have heard u shouldnt but ive always had postives with them

OH NO not FMU honey! You are probably missing your surge by doing this.

Mine say to do between 2-4pm and never to use FMU as the LH hormone hasnt had time to build up enough. xxx

i have always used FMU though and always got a surge, i cant do them throughout the day cos im at work and after work ive always drank too much! maybe i should do it when i come from lunch around midday?

LH doesn't metabolize into your urine overnight, and you are therefore more likely to catch your surge by testing later in the day. If you were getting FMU positives, I'd hazard a guess that that was when you were on Clomid, as Clomid increases your LH levels. Higher level = more likely to be a stronger line, even if the surge is later in day.

I test twice a day....once mid morning and once about tea-time. About 75% of the time its the teatime test that picks it my surge.

Have you noticed your lines getting darker, if not positive?

yes i was getting positive in the morning when i was on clomid, the line is there but not getting any darker, i might test again later cos i am sure i am around ovulation, ive got the cm and the cramps.

FINALLY!! you girls were right, i did an OPK today at 3pm and guess what yep a def pos, line was so dark so lots of BDing tonight and this weekend for me :happydance:

The only downside is im day 26 which means another 40 day cycle :growlmad: but at least ive ovulated. :happydance:

Hello all I've just nipped over from the TTC forum! I'm using the CBFM, which is supposed to detect your LH surge in FMU. So now I'm confused! Or is it maybe picking it up because the surge was the day before? I'm having trouble working out which day I'm actually O'ing as it gives 2 Peak Days (apparently Day #1 detects the surge and means egg should be released 24-26 hours later therefore also gives you a Day #2 Peak). I'm going to get some OPK's too for next cycle but seems strange that I'll be POAS'ing in the morning for my CBFM and POAS'ing in the afternoon for the OPK! Any help/advice? Thanks!
