OPK held needed please!

So I did my very first OPK today when I got my tests in the mail you know to see what to expect etc. I am CD8 on a 30 -31 days cycle... I wasn't going to start testing till CD 12. But here is where I am confused... I did the test and at first I had a light line next to control line and was like ok neg just what I expected but then I read the instructions and it said to observe test after 10 mins of doing it. SO I went back maybe 15 or 20 mins later to check again as I didn't realize we had to watch for 10 mins and the line was quite dark... not quite a pos but at the top edge is was as dark as control line but slightly lighter everywhere else but still almost as dark.. so my question is should I keep testing tomorrow? Does this mean LH surge is close? I am confused... please help!

no i wouldnt class this as a true reading its happened to me you take the result of the OPK at 9min 45seconds. then that is the true reading.

It might be a good idea to get some BD'ing in anyway in case it is. I made the mistake this month of thinking I had O'd on CD10 and was quite lazy with BD after that. Now it looks like I might have O'd on CD17 and I am sorry I didn't get more BD in.

Yes, I would definitely keep testing...it's nice to see the surge from beginning to end, you get a clearer picture of what's going on. The first month I did them I save all the ones around O time. Any updates?

When my opk was positive it came up straight away with 2 dark lines within 60 seconds.
