So, I decided after trying for ages (being stubborn that I didn't need help) that I would fork out for a proper basel thermometer and ovulation sticks. I have random cycles and normally use my cervix and cervical mucus to guess when I am ovulating. It was over a year between my last two failed pregnancies and its coming up to another year and I'm determined to make it happen before June.

Does anyone have any tips? do i have to test with the sticks everyday? or just when i think i am ovulating? Do I use the Basel Thermometer to tell me when to use the sticks?

sorry for all the questions!

Ideally use the ovulation sticks every day from your Af ended. Temp from cd 1 to confirm ovulation. You'll see a better pattern doing it this way. Id also use a fertility site such as fertility friend to input the data so it can pinpoint ovulation. Best of luck.

On the fertility friend website, there is an awesome book you can download that shows you all sorts of stuff, like what to track, how, why, and then it shows you different charts that show different women's cycles. I found it so helpful! Basically it said the more you track, the better your chances of nailing your ovulation, and the better you can pin down your O, the more BD you do around that time, and you should have better odds. If you can find that, it was very helpful to me.
