I just started using OPKs this month *picture included below* and I found my ovulation day :happydance:! The only problem is that if this is correct my luteal period is only 11-12 days. That seems really short. The progression looks great and I think it's really clear which day I had my surge, but I'm worried.

This picture is from the evening of CD 15 to the evening of CD 18 and I have a 27-28 day cycle. This would make my ovulation day CD16 or CD17.

Do you guys know anything about this? I've been researching and it says that only if ovulation after CD20 I should be worried, but idk.

Also, I've literally been having symptoms since ovulation. Pangs on each side of my ovaries, fatigue, moodiness, sides of my breasts starting to hurt. Maybe my progesterone levels are low, so I've started having PMS symptoms early?? I know I couldn't have implanted already.

I'm really confused. Do I HAVE to have 15 day luteal period to conceive? I'm a freaking out for no reason? Any advice would be really great!

11-12 days sounds fine to me honestly. My LP is 12 days and I have gotten pregnant. I know lots of people that have them as 9 or 10 days even. If you are concerned though, you can talk to your doctor.

11-12 days is perfectly normal i think it's when it's below 8-9 days is when it's worrying

Thanks Ladies! It's reassuring to hear your advice!

Now I guess I'll just have to wait.... :coffee:

I'm really hoping we get a BFP this month! September/October is perfect for our little one's birthday!

I would try temping to be sure if you can as you will ovulate 12-36 hours after your positive opk, so if you got a positive on cd16 you probably oved cd17-18.

My lp is 11-12 days too but I start getting lower back aches from 9-10dpo and spotting from 10-11 dpo which I am convinced is the reason I'm struggling to conceive. Good luck!!

I agree. OPK's don't confirm ovulation like temping, so I would get a fertility Friend account and start temping next cycle to be sure.
