Opportunity of a lifetime puts wtt on hold...

well where do i start? my mum phoned me on fri night to see if i wanted to join her for the have a heart charity trek to china 2010!! it is a trip of a lifetime to walk the great wall of china! we have sent off the forms and payment and waiting for a confirmation! I cant believe it it will be an amazing experience! cant help but feel a bit sad that baby plans will be put on hold but hey we only live once! and it will take place at the end of april 2010. the walk will last 6 days and we will be there for 10 days in total. I have to raise at least £2.850 in order to participate or make up the difference myself!!! yikes!! i dont know what is harder! walking the great wall of china or raising that amount of money!!

It does sound like a great opportunity, and well worth wtt, it will be awesome and not that long to wait if you start trying when you get home. I am sure you will raise the money just fine! Good Luck!

Good luck! That is an amazing thing to do - I hope you manage to raise heaps of money for charity.

I visited China in 2005 and loved it. We went to Bejing, Shanghai, zhengzhou, Xian and Chengdou. I would love to go back to see more - maybe in a few years when Tristan (and hopefully more children!) is a little bit older.

I would try and tag a week or so more on to your trip if you can afford it, as there is so much to see in the Bejing area (i.e. Forbidden City, many temples, silk market etc) and as China is so expensive to fly to.

Good luck with your trip - I am jealous!
