I feel like I'm hijacking this thread! Does the britax SHR2 go into the car without a base as well, just with a seat belt?

i'm getting an oyster too.

my problem is i like the current colours with mainly black and then the coloured strips (like the one in the first post) but i hate the big white e on it.


Also if you're looking for lightweight an Oyster is the way to go - i live in a flat too and that's one of my main criteria and its not to expensive - unlike the super light icandy cherry!

it's a shame about the big E. I think it's supposed to be an oyster though.

Yes it can - see page 14 of the instruction & user guide. Looks like it has 3 ways of fitting into the car.

I've had a go with my friend's Oyster - it's brilliant! Lightweight, but very sturdy and useable. Think it's going to be too pricey for me though...

Thanks to this thread, I ordered my oyster yesterday too! And a local shop price matched for me which was good news! We've gone for the black chassis with the tomato colour pack and the Britax car seat in red yay!

I'm an oyster lover too!

DH and I are going to see it IRL in July once I have had my gender scan! I can't wait.

I would love to get the pram part but baby is due in November so I don't think it will be that pratical. I will use the pram every day for school run but as its car to gates I think baby will just stay snug in the car seat.

As for car seat I have been given a maxi cosi by a good friend, so that was that.

I really like the dark red colour pack, I hope it's as nice as it seems

We were thinking of buying the Babystyle Oyster as it has great reviews on Which?
Have you tried it in a shop? I want to know how well it handles!!!!

I tried it in the shop, we managed to do some pretty nifty dohnuts around the place and we found it doesn't tipple easily.

Don't get the matching changing bag though, the lady who owns the shop we got it from even warned us that it is over priced tat!

We dismantled it and put it together several times and are very happy with it. The chassis folds up teeny tiny although it doesn't fold with the carrycot attatched but it will with the chair attatched.

We were told that they have rare problems with it, usualy to do with the purchaser not greasing the wheels with a bit of vaseline like they are supposed to do, like it says in the instructions. To be fair, I wouldn't have done this either if I hadn't been warned lol!!xx

We've just ordered ours too!!!

It handled really well in the shop, really easily to slot the different parts on and folds so small!!

My friend who has 2 boys recommended it and the lady in the shop said they often find second time mums buy it once they realise what they actually need!!
