Orgasm?? Give me hope!!!

Hi all-
According to shettles, female orgasm secretions make vaginal ph more alkaline and this favors male sperm...so it's been said if you're trying for a girl, NOT to have an orgasm.
Well, I'm looking for some hope here...
We were so good about timing (BD 3-4 days before O) BUT I had an orgasm (before intercourse actually..).
I didn't know about this PH thing until after!!!
Did anyone conceive girl after having an orgasm.
Hope please! Its ok to tell me "no" too Xo!

In fact, I was sure this would be a boy, based on all the gender swaying tips (we successfully "swayed" with our 7 y/o daughter), but it's another girl!
I was really hoping for team pink this time, my little girl needs a sister

I've never heard that before - but logically a lot of those secretions must be present in some degree regardless of orgasm or not? Perhaps the ratio changes. The vagina and cervix are full of ways to destroy sperm - it's a wonder the human species survives lol!

Orgasm in general helps conception though because it helps to catapult sperm up the cervix! It pools up by a muscle that contracts during the big-o. So if you have an orgasm after your oh it should help your chances.

My daughter was conceived after dtd about 3 days before ovulation, I'm pregnant now with a boy (though obviously scans can be wrong) and dtd on what I'm pretty sure was the day of ovulation. Both times I had the big O!

I O'd both times and had a litle miss first time round and a little dude the 2nd. Both times I had a feeling something was going on after as I felt strangely tingly and its the only time ive felt it.

I had one both times we had sex right before ovulation (I have one every time anyway) and we had a girl. We're trying for our next one and o'ing as usual so will be interested to see what we end up having!
