OT.... Have no idea what to get lo for xmas !!

Heyy all.

I've posted this in santas grotto aswell.
I have no idea what to get lo for xmas, everyone keeps telling me that theres no point as he wont remember anything n hes not guna be able to play with toys so theres no point ect ect., but i really wana get him some prezzys n all i can think of is clothes cos everything i was guna get him everyone else has gotten for when hes born.

Moneys guna be tight for the next few months as me n oh are moving out cos bubs can't stay here, so we're getting our own place (trying to find somewhere private that will allow a cat is a nightmare!!!) So i wana start getting prezzys for him now while i have to extra money to get them, but have no idea what to get.

PLEASE someone give me some ideas, its really getting me down now. This is the 1st time in about 6 years i've looked forward to xmas cos of all the bad memories that surround the coming months.

Maybe you can get your LO a new blanket or a stuffed animal. Or even a cute hat since it is getting cold. Or even a little christmas outfit. Hope that helps.

I would suggest purchasing the clothing/toys/misc items that he will need for the next 3-4 months after christmas, so what sizes he/she will be for Jan feb march april etc and to wrap those items. Maybe if you were looking at onesies, you could splurge a little on a few special ones and wrap those! We all get clothes for xmas, so that's appropriate. You can wrap a few soft toys or maybe some soothing sounds CD's. I wouldn't buy anything big because you will have enough expenses in the first year anyway, so purchase what you know you will need and wrap that!

i've got my LO loads of stuff for xmas as a first xmas is a big tradition in my family and we dont really celebrate it as we get older lol

ive got him:

- rattles
- teethers
- gloworm
- playnest/gym
- trainers
- pat mat
- cuddly toys
- cot mirror
- musical toys

he has got nearly 40 presents lol i only have 2 more things to get and they are a door bouncer and one of those gyms that they kick and it lights up and plays music

i christmas and dont care if he doesnt remember it, i will and will have lots of piccies to show him when he's older =) x

I think something nice like a special picture frame which u could have like pics of your son like a picture everymonth for the first year or scrap book album? tht might be a good idea, thn wen he is older he can see what u got him for xmas

I'd just get him something he will need later on. We are getting Arianna an exersaucer, a high chair, and some clothes probably.

Either way he will be happy as long as he's being loved on

I'm getting my LO a mini CD player and a few baby CD's for christmas! Thinking it would be nice to have it next to the cot and play him music before he goes to sleep.
