First, I went to the doctor on November 28th for my regular check up and to talk about induction. When I got in there my doctor examined me, I had only dialated to 1 cm and I was about 60% effaced. So really no change in a week. But I was still inducable! So he said he needed to call the hospitall and check their schedule and it may be next week. I was so down! I was sure she was going to be born this week! But oh well, she will be here soon enough. On my way home, I didn't call anyone, not even my husband. I always call him! But not this day, I was too upset. About 10 minutes after I left, I got a call from the doctors office telling me to be at the hospital at 6:45 in the morning!!!!!!!!!!
I was so happy!
So we get to the hospital at 6 am and I get registered and then we go to my room. I get settled and the nurse and my doctor walk in at 730 am and start my petocin and break my waters. I was already at 3 cm! So then the labor starts about an hour later. I was feeling fine, but I did want an epidural so I asked for one. They came right in and started it. Shortly after the epidural, my blood pressure went dangerously low. They had to give me medicine several times to make it come back up. I was feeling so sick and just plain strange. But eventually it came back up to normal. The nurse checked me about 1030 and I was at 7 cm at this point. So it was me, my husband and my sister and her husband. We were all talking and joking around and then i felt this huge desire to push. I wasn't hurting or anything, just a lot of pressure. The nurse checked me again and at this point it was 1145 and I was fully dilated. They called my doctor and he was there at 12 noon. I started pushing and I pushed for almost an hour! She came into this world at 108 pm weighing 7 lbs 14 oz and 20.5 inches long! She is absolutely beautiful! She looks just like her daddy! We are 100% over the moon and totally in love! Here are a few pictures of our miracle baby girl, Addisyn Ruby-Dean!
