Our prefect Facebook lives

I don't really use facebook for stuff about me. I am friends with a lot of other Mummies on there whose children have SB and without that support, frankly I would have no support so I find it a very useful tool. Anyone who has me on their friends will know that I use it mostly for the issues we face as a family. I have family and close friends on FB as well as a very select few from here. I don't put personal things anywhere else on the internet anymore, so FB is the only place I have to ask questions etc.

Regarding FB being an outlet for positive stuff, yes to a degree that is true. For people in my circumstances though, the negatives are about level with the positives.

I think I use FB in a way like you Lea, I have a huge percentage of my friends list being friends from online support groups! x

I used o live my life through facebook and then kind of realised it was a stupid thig to do, now im alot more careful with what I put up there and its mostly good stuff :)

I've been guilty of putting the odd thing on that I shouldn't have... but on the whole I use it for fun. Some folks put some right  stuff.

I mostly only post about new things Emma has done bc my family are far away so they like hearing about her and seeing pictures. I post once a week at the very most. And I can easily go months without updating my status. :haha: I have a few friends that update every 20 minutes. It's ridiculous. And they air out every issue that they've ever had. Even if it's something simple like breaking a nail.

I must admit when people start slagging people or airing their dirty laundry on FB my opinion of them goes down and even to the point where I delete them. I just think there is no need at all. Nothing wrong with having a moan on there, but when people bitch about someone for all to see is really bad taste....x

I don't use FB as often as I use BnB.
I do most of my social parenting networking on here. :haha:

I view FB as having two main functions for me and most of my FB friends:
1) a quick and easy way to keep friends and family updated o our busy lives - so generally photos of what we've been up to with a quick story or two.
2) a very effective way to get the word out about various events, movements, etc - tons of my artist and business friends have gotten very savvy about using FB to advertise, raise awareness, etc

I really haven't thought about how I select what to put up on FB, other than my usual online discretion regarding work and my personal life. I don't have a lot of drama in my life, but the issues I do have, I would keep to myself, just as I would in my real life.
The one exception to the generally happy happy that I post was a memorial post to a friend who passed away.

IDK I don't really sit on FB a lot but I do update my status a lot from my phone. Usually about Caitlyn

Sometimes if I'm really mad I do post statuses I shouldn't x

I think social networking sites are a complete waste of time IMO

my fb is set to private so i only have people i accept to see my things, to be honest my status is normally how shit i feel or how annabelle has done something or been a monster or something, i wouldnt put i had rowed with OH or gone overdrawn in my account or anything lol but its not something i would tell people anyway! as for photos its true you do rarely take negative pics, however i have taken pictures of my cars when they have been in accidents and smashed into and stuff lol!
