Here I go with my story.
I was due 1-20-12 and my my little man was born on 1-12-12. I didnt think he would arrive on the 20th anyways because that seemed way too long and also my daughter was born according to my LMP.
On 1-11-12 I had my regular check up, I was 38+4 and the doctor said I was 3cm dilated and about 60-70% effaced. She stripped my membranes(which didnt hurt at all) and told me to go for a walk. Right after I did an hour of walking. That whole day I have been feeling alot of BHs and especially when I was walking.
I went to bed around 11pm, everything normal, and at one point while sleeping I felt kinda of wet down there:blush: but I kept sleeping. But again I kept feeling like drips of water and it kept my mind awake so I decided to go to the bathroom and when I got up it just all gushed out:blush::haha: I asked my husband :haha: what is going on because with my first pregnancy my water didnt break until I was in the hospital, 1 hour before DD was born so anyways he said thats your waters lets go. So I didnt know exactly when they broke but it was around 2:30am and around 3am we arrived at the hospital. I was not having any contractions while on the road and when we got to the hospital I was having BHs and slowly they were starting to feel like menstrual cramps but nothing like the contractions I had the first time when I was in labor with DD. We got all set up in the room and the nurse asked me when I want my epidural and I said well im not in pain yet can i still have it? And she said yeah any time, you are dilated 3-4cm so let me know when it starts to get painful. I think around 6ish contractions were starting to get strong but still nothing like with my first birth but I asked for epidural because they were 3-4 mins apart and I thought what If I start feeling like pushing? I deffenetly didnt want to feel any pain so they gave me the Epidural and it was a breeze, it did not hurt at all like the first time. I was able to feel my feet and everything and they said that I have a good epidural but I was worried that I might feel it all and when they inserted my catheter I didnt feel a thing so I guess I was just numb down there which was great. In a few more minutes they made me turn to the right for half an hour and my right leg started to feel numb. They said its normal. Then they made me turn to the right and my left leg started to feel numb but it wasnt as numb as the right one:baby: They gave me pitocin because I was stalled at 3-4cm. The pitocin really sped things up because around 9am I started feeling that familiar "need to poop" feeling and I told the nurse and she said my doc was on the way. I was kinda worried when the nurse left the room waiting for the doctor because with my first pregnancy, DD was delivered by a nurse because she just wanted to come out and the doctor came 5 mins after she was delivered lol:haha: So when the nurse left and I felt like I need to push I called her and asked her to check me and I was right, I was 10cm dilated!

The doctor arrived and they set up everything and it was time for a baby! 3 pushes and he was out! Our son that we waited for 9 months was finally here! The cord was around his neck and he was all purple and it felt like forever waiting for him to cry, my husband and I were just waiting and waiting and just staring, the doctor looked like she knew what she was doing and she wasnt worried at all and finally he cried. :cloud9: Then he peed on me :haha: They placed him on me right away for a good hour and I was just in love:cloud9: the best feeling ever. I couldnt believe I was a mommy of 2!
He was 6lbs 12oz, 20" long. After about 2 hours we moved to our room where we stayed all day and all night, we had our family come and the next day we got released. We are now home and it feels perfect.

I hope you enjoy my story and feel free to ask any questions. :flower: Good luck to all of you expecting mommies.

P.S. I forgot to mention that my right leg was really frozen :haha: for good 2 hours after delivery.
