I feel so bad for him but you get what you get. We have just found out we are expecting our 3rd little girl :) . He desperately wanted a brother and he was very upset when the sonographer told us all it was a girl. Later this evening i asked him what he might to call his newest baby sister and quickly replied 'Doodoo!!', i couldnt help but snigger when he said it oops.
Im sure he'll come round before shes born especially once he gets older and realises he gets to have man to man time with dad all by himself and the fact his sisters will have alot of friends between them haha

I'm sure he'll come round. My youngest dd cried when she found out we were having a boy, but she loves him to bits now and often says she's glad he was a boy and not a girl :)

Lol @doodoo. I'm glad my son want old enough to give his opinion! He was barely 2 when we found out this LO is pink.

Lol@doodoo too. My 3yr old son wants to call ours green angry bird, irrespective of gender!

Oh no! Sorry it didn't go down very well with your son. This is one of the reasons we're staying team yellow.. Our son desperately wants a brother. His words were "I already have two sisters, I don't want another one!" :haha:

I figure if it IS a girl he won't sulk too much once she's born because he'll be too interested in the fact that there's a new baby, rather than what gender she is. He's a very loving boy and likes babies, so I'm hoping that will be the case!

I hope your son comes around to the idea soon.. I'm sure he will :)

I did immediately think of that video when he started crying and hes not quite 4. Hes come around since yesterday and is even excited that he gets to have another 'cute baby sister like baby sophie' (our youngest 16m) So yay! I just felt so bad for him at the time! I definitely think Doodoo will be a bit of a nickname for her which isnt ideal but the story behind it does lol

Lol @ doodoo. My DD wanted a sister and was disappointed to hear we're having a boy. She didn't cry or anything but said a few times that she didn't understand why I didn't have a girl baby in my belly. I think (hope) she's coming roubd though.

I'm glad he's come around to the idea! Yeah, doodoo is an unfortunate nickname, but a really funny story for when she's older. :haha: My nephew wanted to name his new sibling "Scissors". :dohh:

Oh and for the record baby has already been referred to as Doodoo a few times by different people haha

lol kids are funny..I have 4 girls and my hubby gets more upset than them lol. He desperately wants a boy

When I told my 4 year old he was gonna get a sister, he asked me to return her in exchange for a boy. Lol. He is slowly coming around to the fact that he'll have a sister. I made sure to take him along to all my ultrasounds to help with bonding. At the last ultrasound it looked like the baby was wavig and my son was jumping and excitedly saving back.

This is why we are finding out. My dd is insistent it's a girl. She's in for a fought time to come tao terms with it if it is a boy so we're giving time to prepare.

We have managed to successfully highliget how it isn't our choice though and last week accepted it might be a a boy. However, it's only allowed to be a boy, and she will only be nice to the boy if we use her chosen name. Any other name and n she will still be mean and horrid.

Anyway, hopefully we find out tomorrow!

My DS is three and he could never seem to make up his mind... he was forever changing from wanting a baby brother to a baby sister! When I actually found out I am having a girl, he quite adamantly said "But I wanted a brother!"
Thankfully, that didn't last for long and now he can't wait to meet his little sister!
