Hello, so my dh bless his heart surprised me and gave me the money to buy a brand new fertility monitor. He is so sweet. I did go on craigslist and found a few and was on my way to pick it up until hubby started asking questions about it and felt that i deserved a brand new one:happydance:

I'm so excited. However, I'm irregular and considering my options of what would be the most reasonable bang for my buck! I priced both of them and what seems more reasonable is the ovacue only b/c its saliva instead of urine.

The urine sticks for the clear blue easy can get expensive considering I am irregular and may go beyond 30 day cycle. Options for the ovacue can be pricey as well.

I was wondering have any of you ladies used either or what other fertility monitor methods have the most success.

Hey hadn't even heard of ovacue. I am thinking of buying a cbfm this month if i am unsuccessful (few days til testing). i will be interested to see what people think of the two different ones as i had only heard of the cbfm.

GL XXXX

It seems to be easier and less of a mess since its saliva instead of urine. However, it cost more and the vaginal senor is separate and $100.

I hope more ladies respond or tried it. I found cbef on amazon.com for $131.

Hey I checked it out - yeah it seems to be alot easier to use. and it says that its more effective. but the cost is more. the only hting i think on the cost hting is that i could use it again when we r trying for other babies (hopefully!!) r u ttc no1?

I use cbfm. I love it so far! my doctor told me not to buy the ovacue, he said I would get a better chance catching my LH through urine, then saliva. I am sure you will hear many opinions though! cbfm sticks are not that expensive. 30 sticks come in a box, and the most the monitor will ask for in one cycle is 20. Once the monitor gets use to your cycles, it will ask for less (usually 10 or less). In my opinion 30 dollars for 3 months is not bad:) cheaper than opks from store.

My only issue is that im irregular so i can see myself using all the urine sticks lol. I decided to get the ocavue and also considering to get the vaginal sensor.

Where can you buy 3 months worth for $30.00???? the best ive found is 40 strips for $85...

Oh thank you very much for posting this! We're 16 months in struggling to conceive #1 with male infertility and the Clear Blue fertility monitor is the only thing I haven't used..It is also much cheaper than buying 2 packs of OPk's each month. (I have to test twice a day)

I also heard the same thing about the saliva scope.

We have been trying for a year. Im positive that when I lose at least 10-15lbs that I will fall own pregnant with the help of ovacue. For Me cbfm would have cost just as much as the ovacue in the long run. Iseen more reviews for cbfm both negative and positive but as much for the ovacue zS

Hi : )
Bellahoney, i wanted to check and see how your going with the Ovacue fertility monitor?
Like you i have irregular cycles and we have just started TTC #3 (our first 2 beautiful kiddies were very very welcome surprises : ) but actually planning a baby is hard because of my irregular cycles!
I ordered the Ovacue fertility monitor bundle last night (with the vaginal sensor) so i just have to wait for it to arrive now (hopefully it gets here before AF does????)
If you could leave an update as to how it's going for you that would be awesome!
Donna
