Hello! I was wondering if anyone has heard of or had Ovarian Drilling? I got pregnant with my son 2 months after starting with a fertility specialist (after 2 years of trying clomid with my regular OB). For some reason this time around is a lot more difficult.. I have been doing treatments with my fertility specialist for 7 months now (the last 2 were iui). I also take femara and 2 ovidrel shots and progesterone supplements. I have been ovulating, but it is still not working for some reason. My doctor suggested we get the ovarian drilling done and then do IUI again afterwards. I was under the impression that the ovarian drilling helped increasing chances of ovulation, but if I am already ovulating I don't understand why this is a necessary step. I also didn't know if anyone has had any success stories with this procedure.

I had it in March, so can't say if I'm a success story yet. There is a huge thread on here somewhere about it though, if you search it will definitely come up. I had the same thought as you, if I am ovulating on clomid, what does it add? But the idea of ovulating regularly on my own and not having to take clomid was a big draw for me! There's no guarantee that will happen but there is a good chance. If not, it often makes women respond better to clomid or other oral meds.

Some women a,so report it helps with other symptoms of PCOS such is hair/skin/weight.
