What's normal? When I was 17 years old I had constant ovary pain. It caused enough concern for my mom and I that I went to the gyno and was check out thoroughly (even though I wasn't sexually active). I was referred to specialist because they couldn't detect anything abnormal and eventually had exploratory surgery. Later, I found out that a nerve was herniated and they snipped it (so now I'm numb in my groin). Anyways, the pain stopped, but I was on birth control for 8 years. Now that we are ttc i've obviously stopped taking the pill and the pain is back (started cd 7 and still here cd15). I'm beginning to think I'm just very aware of my body and the little constant changes that occur.

Does anyone else experience this? It's not horrible pain (and I've seen my gyno every year since I was 17), but it's enough discomfort to notice it throughout the entire day.

I have this and it ended up being endometriosis that developed on my right ovary. Do you have any other symptoms? I didnt ever have the insanely heavy bleeding and crippling pain, but some women can be very advanced and never feel anything, and some are barely stage one and in agony....

Is this your first cycle after stopping BC? It could be a REALLY strong ovulation (really "explosive ovulation") - my first cycle after BC I had to go home sick because I was in pain! It should get better in coming cycles though

Cookette- i dont have any other symptoms of endometriosis, but that's what we thought it was which is why I had surgery (nothing showed up on the ultrasound before surgery and they didn't find anything abnormal during- except the nerve).

It is my first cycle off bcp so I guess it could be strong ovulation. I'm not using opks this month because I bought them late assuming I wouldn't ovulate since it's my first month off.

They never saw anything on ultrasound either with me. Had my first lap Nov 2012 and no sign of it, and second lap Nov of last year and had gone to stage 2 in a years time. Dr said it was in microscopic stages at first surgery. Keep it in the back of your mind....I hope you get some answers!

That's important to know! I'll keep an eye on it. Thank you so much for dropping by and offering some feedback!
