Over 100oz of breast milk WASTED!!!

I had it all stored in the freezer and the damn thing broke down today! I don't even know if it's been broken from today or from last night, all I know is that we've lost a whole heap of food and the thawed milk has to be used up within 24hrs. I'm SO angry!!!

Well I've fixed the seal on both the fridge and the blasted freezer. Now to start pumping all over again...

He won't take more than 1 or 2 ounces from the bottle, he's a boobie-baby, that's why I'm annoyed it'll be wasted! I can't even give it to the special care baby unit because it hasn't been tested and it's thawed out anyway.

Give the La Leche League helpline a ring....they may be able to advise you wot to do so not to waste it all babe

When Lauren, my eldest was being weaned I had loads of home cooked, pureed food, tonnes of stuff and a few full bottles of expressed milk too. Came downstairs one morning and noticed my hubby hadn't closed the freezer properly the night before

Yeah, supposed to use it within 24/48 hours if it's bin frozen previously but if it's been frozen immediately I would have thought it ok but can't take chances with ickle bubs can ya?

I would have too.........but I suppose my bubby is almost 6 months and eating crap off the carpet now....Neece's little fella's a bit small to risk it.
