Overfeeding my 5w old?

DD is 5w 1d and she's devouring her 5oz bottles at night to the point where I have to fill up with cartons. during the day she may not eat all the 5oz or she may do the same. should I up her bottles to 6oz or keep to 5oz?

If she's hungry let her eat! If she's puking up then I'd be worried but if not there's no harm x

My boy is on 6oz every 3-4 hours and has been for over a week. I was worried about over feeding but like pp said, if they're not puking it back up, they are hungry so I've tried to be relaxed about it - even though my boy is a big baby!

I agree, if baby is hungry, then feed her! She's probably going through a growth spurt and needs the extra energy.

Toby has been like this, although during the night he doesn't have the whole 5oz.. I think he is too tired to have it all, and seems to be content with 3 or 4oz. In the daytime he has wanted all the 5oz.. But it has been so hot I think that has a lot to do with it, I have been giving him boiled water to deal with constipation and he had 2oz of that in one go yesterday so definitely think he's thirsty. Maybe your LO is too? Toby seems to have put on a lot of weight, and think he is having his growth spurt. I gave him 7oz in one lot yesterday afternoon from a carton, and he drank the lot in a really short time, seemed very content after and had a long sleep. Like PP said, if she is puking it up then maybe she doesn't want/need the additonal but if not maybe she is just a little piggy xx

My little man's been on 5oz every 2 hours during the day since about 3 weeks old. Were just starting to up to 6 every now and again but not much. Xx

maybe she's just a piggy i just fed her after her 6oz bottle and she's only had 2oz so maybe i'll stick with 5oz and just fill up with cartons when necessary.

Maybe just try upping her night bottles to 6oz and keep the day ones at 5oz? xxx

when my LO was like this i put 6oz in the bottle (as nothing worse than them getting to the end quickly and you quickly having to get more). she is a great at leaving the feed when she doesnt want the rest though and sometimes only takes 40z at a feed now, but i'd still rather have 6 in the bottle just in case!
